Nashville, TN – Dec. 16, 2010 – eOne Christian Music, a division of eOne Entertainment, announces the most recent addition to their growing artist roster, officially signing rock band Rush Of Fools. The band is in the writing process for their next album release, planned to street next summer. This new project follows the band’s first two acclaimed CDs, 2008′s Wonder Of The World and 2007′s Rush Of Fools.

“I’ve been working with Rush Of Fools from the start of their career, and we’ve become family over the years, sharing so much together,” comments Bob Morrison, VP of Christian Music at eOne. “I feel very blessed that we can continue our journey together. My passion for the band and the strengths of eOne will provide them a strong home for their future recordings and career growth. There are exciting things to come!”

In just a few short years, this Birmingham, Alabama-based band made a name for themselves thanks to the instant success of their self-titled debut’s enormous radio success. Their first hit “Undo” went No. 1 for an astounding seven weeks, was named Radio & Records Song of the Year award in 2007 and was ASCAP’s Song of the Year (2008). Their follow-up single “Peace Be Still” hit No. 1 for three weeks. In 2008, Rush of Fools was recognized by the Gospel Music Association, receiving four Dove Award Nominations that year – New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year (for “Undo”), while their self-titled debut was nominated for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year.

“It’s a humbling opportunity for us as a band to be able to partner with such an incredible company as eOne,” exclaims Kevin Huguley, Rush Of Fools. “Their laundry list of success with film, television, and musical artists from all genres speaks for itself, so we see greater things that are to come because of this new and exciting relationship. Let’s make a record!”

Touring over 120 dates a year, Rush Of Fools recently concluded their first European set of dates, which included a stop in Norway opening for Casting Crowns. The band is currently writing and planning recording for their first release with eOne.

Partnering with Integrity Music and joining some of their favorite emerging voices of worship, these two talents have created the Know Hope Collective, a ground-breaking initiative that combines worship music with stories of hope and inspiration.

According to Stuart and McGinniss, the Know Hope Collective will be an ever-changing group of musicians from a variety of backgrounds who come together to create worship music while sharing their unique experiences and testimonies. “The Know Hope Collective is driven from an emerging style of worship and a place of vulnerability,” explains Stuart. “We go on a journey together through the good, bad and ugly to the redemptive side.”

Stuart says the Know Hope Collective grew out of their own cathartic experience of sharing life stories with friends and church members. “We’d meet at Will’s around a campfire and talk vulnerably with each other about our successes as well as hardships. It was a time of healing and redemption as we discovered the evidence of God’s hand in our lives like never before and the importance of telling one’s story.”

The duo’s pastor urged them to initially take their story-telling on the road, creating an intimate and hope-filled night of music, testimony and worship with friends. Since then, the Know Hope Collective has appeared across the U.S. and Canada. Additional tour plans are slated for spring 2011 and will be announced shortly.

Their first recorded self-titled project is an enhanced CD slated to release February 15. The ten-track album was produced by Stuart, McGinniss and Josh Heiner.

“This project was birthed out of the failure I went through,” Stuart says. “But the next one might be on missional living, orphan care or clean water, wherever God is leading us.”

For the Know Hope Collective CD, Stuart speaks far more now than he sings, and shares the microphone with Julia Ross (of popular Disney group Everlife), David Leonard (former Jackson Waters, NEEDTOBREATHE and currently with Sons and Daughters), and 2010 BMI Christian Music Award-winning Songwriter of the Year Jason Walker.

The group introduces new cuts, including “Jealous God,” the radio singles “Attention” and “Build Us Back,” along with meditative reworks of Audio A hits like “Ocean Floor,” “The Good Life,” and “Hands and Feet.”

Following “Attention,” “Build Us Back” is the project’s next radio single, releasing December 27th to AC, CHR and INSP stations.

The enhanced CD includes videos where the Know Hope Collective artists share their personal stories of hope. The project also links to additional content, including information about Hands & Feet, a ministry founded by Stuart and McGinniss to aid orphans and abandoned children.

A SIMPLE BLESSING; THE EXTRAORDINARY POWER OF AN ORDINARY PRAYER” RELEASES NATIONWIDE MARCH 2011
(Source: The Media Collective)

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) December 7, 2010 — GRAMMY ® and GMA Dove Award winning, multi-platinum selling recording artist Michael W. Smith reaches another milestone in his 28 year career with the release his 12th book, “A Simple Blessing; The Extraordinary Power of an Ordinary Prayer,” in March 2011 (Zondervan).

Smith, known for his compassion and generosity, has been impacted by stories of those hardest-hit by life changing devastation. From the effects of the economic downturn to families losing loved ones to natural disasters half a world away. Recently, Smith has felt led to close his concerts with a prayer of blessing over his audience. A simple prayer of blessing, sparked a response unlike anything he’s experienced in his 28 years of ministry.

Letters and e-mails poured in, relaying stories of the encouragement, empowerment and hope brought to troubled lives. An organic move to prayer is taking place.

From this response Smith discovered that God’s blessings are measured more by the flourishing of character in adversity than the flourishing of possessions, and that the result in such is overflowing joy and peace. Collaborating with accomplished writer Thomas Williams, Smith’s desire and purpose in writing the book was to encourage and inspire readers to examine their hearts and learn to experience God’s blessing as well as to speak words of blessing to others to draw them nearer to the heart of God.

This book breaks the prayer Smith prays into its six specific Blessings: What Does It Mean to Pray for Others, The Prayer for Spiritual Health, The Prayer for a Pure Mind, The Prayer for Personal Holiness, The Prayer for Backyard Blessings, and The Prayer for Spiritual Victory. Each chapter begins with a quote containing the segment of the blessing it will address. Then the chapter explains the value of the blessing and gives practical guidance on how to open oneself to the blessing and enjoy its benefits. An example of one blessing is in The Prayer for a Pure Mind:

Be blessed with supernatural strength to turn your eyes from foolish, worthless, and
evil things, and to shut out the demeaning and the negative. Instead may you behold the
beauty of things that God has planned for you as you obey His Word. May God bless you
ears to hear the lovely, the uplifting, and the encouraging. May your mind be strong,
disciplined, balanced, and faith-filled.

Following the blessing Smith goes on to describe how the impact of our culture is determining how our minds are affected (or not) by entertainment: “We’re being conditioned to accept the negative as the normal. From time to time I’ve expressed to friends my disappointment with a TV show or my longing for a movie with a hero I could admire for his values or his refusal to compromise. More often than not, the response I get is that I’m not moving with the times. The movies of the past were not realistic, they tell me….They want movie heroes with real flaws like the rest of us. No one is altogether pure or altogether evil. And if movies, TV shows, and novels are honest, they will give us characters who reflect that natural mixture.”

And then in approaching the value of the blessing he says : “I know that today’s movie critics would dismiss films such as ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ as unrealistic, wishful fantasies with impossibly good heroes and sappy happy-ever-after endings…I beg to differ. The grunge, corruption, immorality, and violence that critics like to call reality are not reality at all. The true reality is found beneath the blight in what God created in the beginning — the perfection of the world as he originally made it. Only the good that God created is real. We came along and added the corruption, evil, pain, decay, and death, which are not reality but contaminations of reality…. The story God wrote has a happy-ever-after ending that promises eternal joy to those who focus on the pure and lovely and adopt true character into their lives. If we focus our eyes and ears on things that give us glimpses of that happy reality, it will go a long way toward enabling us to receive the blessings God wants to pour into us.”

Smith recently wrapped the very successful “Make A Difference” Tour with Max Lucado , TobyMac and Third Day, and recently launched his, “It’s a Wonderful Christmas” tour on November 26th in his hometown of Nashville, Tenn. He also recently announced the “2 Friends” tour with Amy Grant, which marks the first time the two will tour together (for a non-holiday tour) in more than two decades. The multi-city U.S. tour will kick off in early February.

TOP NEW CHRISTIAN TALENT WILL WIN MAJOR INDUSTRY EXPOSURE AND A ‘DREAM LIST’ OF OPPORTUNITIES

Source: Morningstar PR

(Nashville, Tennessee) –February 1, 2010 – Some of the biggest forces in the Christian music industry are joining together with multi-platinum artist tobyMac, to re-define the concept of “artist development.”

The creative brain-trust behind the launch of America’s premier Christian music “rock ‘n roll fantasy camp” for young musicians —Camp Electric—is this year amping up the new “ultimate” experience for undiscovered young artists hoping to shatter the glass between the known and unknown in finding success in the music industry.

Hitting the stage this month from the Camp Electric franchise is a unique new web driven talent search—“Rock The Camp”—targeted at driving an online ‘battle of the bands’ style competition for all ages with fan based voting to drive exposure and national recognition for the next potential ‘big artist’ music break-outs in the Christian music genre.

Joining the Camp Electric creators on the search are some of the most influential major industry components that fuel Christian music on the retail, radio, performance, and live event production levels. Sponsors of “Rock The Camp” include Air1 Radio, K-Love Radio, Premier Christian Cruises, Premier Productions, Gotee Records, and more.

A true believer in the concept and a musical center-piece of the newly launched competition is multi-platinum, multi-Grammy winning artist tobyMac—the self-styled musical genius and creative force in Christian music who believed so much in the Camp Electric concept that he began an on-going creative partnership with the event in 2009.

tobyMac is adding not only his formidable presence as a competition judge—but his stage—as a grand prize to the winner of the “Rock The Camp” competition. The opportunity to open for him onstage at Camp Electric 2010, July 11-15th in Nashville will be awarded to the winning entrant.

Other major prizes include a recording session with one of the industry’s top producers, Paul Ebersold, whose credits list include production of such top artists as Skillet, Third Day, 3 Doors Down, and Sister Hazel. Additionally, the “winning” experience will boast a kicked-back vacation (and performance slot) on Premier Christian Cruises’ January 2011 presentation of the annual “K-LOVE Friends & Family Music Cruise.”

Notes David Pierce of sponsoring K-LOVE and Air 1 Radio: “Rock The Camp is all about finding a new generation of musicians with a heart for God. Combine the competition with the experience of Camp Electric, and add tobyMac to the mix, and this is gonna blow up! Can’t wait to see who emerges!”

Between January 1st and February 28th artists and musicians will have the opportunity at the “Rock The Camp” website of uploading a performance video or audio file of their music for contest consideration. Beginning February 1st, the submissions will be open to fan votes in the first round of competition to identify the Top 50 new bands/artists presenting their music. Those posting their music are encouraged to aggressively “viral market” their participation through the universe of online and social networking mediums and urge their fan support bases to rally the vote.

Second round voting will begin March 1st with the Top 50 fan voted artists/bands showcased on the website for selection of the Top 10 finalists. The final ten competitors will advance to a final round judging by a panel of top industry professionals that will include tobyMac; award winning producer, Paul Ebersold; President of Gotee Records, Joey Elwood; David Pierce, Chief Creative Officer of K-LOVE and AIR 1 Radio; talent/booking executive Jeff Roberts, President of Jeff Roberts Associates.

John Sanders who helped develop the “Rock the Camp” concept, notes: “We’re convinced that the biggest new artists in Christian music are already out there on the web trying to get their music heard. It’s a new day in the music industry with the best new talent creating not only innovative new music, but innovative new ways to market themselves and build a fan base. Our vision is that encouraging a central web destination like this one to attract new talent and get it in front of key industry influencers is a major component to pumping exciting new energy into Christian music on the way to developing the super bands and artists of tomorrow.”

Those wishing to enter “Rock The Camp” are encouraged to resource additional information online at www.campelectric.com

NASHVILLE-BASED NON-PROFIT RAISES $76,000
FOR HAITI RELIEF VIA TWITTER

Source: Nashville Publicity

(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) – Conduit Mission, a Christian non-profit organization in Franklin, Tennessee, issued a $25 challenge via their followers on Twitter in the early hours following the 7.0 earthquake in Haiti. With the assurance that every penny donated would be used to serve the Haitian people through Restoration Ministries in Jacmel, Haiti, Conduit Mission raised over $76,000 in just two weeks, allowing for over 50,000 pounds of food, water and supplies to be immediately sent to Haiti.

Restoration Ministries, a church of a few hundred serving the poorest of Haiti’s poor, is serving as the distribution point for the food, clean water and medical care. Jacmel, a coastal town on the southern coast of Haiti, was damaged severely and was cut off from relief after the quake. With a population of 40,000, the town is estimated to be 40% homeless. But with a stream of refugees pouring in, the estimated population in the tent cities has soared to 80,000, with thousands more arriving daily.

“The need is great, and people have given in a tremendous outpouring,” says Conduit Mission founder Darren Tyler. “When the images of dead bodies in the streets are long gone from CNN and FOX News, there will still be people in desperate need. We’re encouraging people to think about and commit to a monthly contribution, even if it’s only $10 a month. This is a long term crisis that can’t be solved with short term commitments.”

After learning of Conduit Mission’s efforts, Tyler was invited to appear on the top-rated national radio show “Jay Sekulow Live,” the daily radio outreach of the American Center for Law and Justice that airs on over 800 stations nationwide as well as SIRIUS/XM. Tyler called in to the show on January 14th, 15th and 18th to provide updates on Conduit Mission’s relief efforts.

“This problem is so large that it might intimidate or paralyze us into doing nothing,” adds Tyler. “We must not let that happen. Conduit Mission was in Haiti before the quake and we’ll be there long after the quake.”

Conduit Mission was started as a Bible study in September of 2007 with a goal of being a “conduit” of God’s power, God’s love and God’s resources. Conduit Mission partners with organizations that are providing basic living needs such as food, clothing, shelter and medical care. The overhead of the organization is kept low in order to accomplish the goal to “live simply that others may simply live.” In just over two years, Conduit Mission has taken in and given away over $200,000 to ministries in Africa, Haiti and Middle Tennessee. Conduit Mission serves as a ministry of Conduit Church – a church plant that launched this month in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
