It is official.  I have reached one of my biggest radio goals.  Let me recap for you my goals as they pertain to radio:

  1. Bring Christian Rock to the Washington DC area. Tiny check with an asterisk since I am not on terrestrial radio here, yet.
  2. Contribute to a radio charting list. CHECK! I report my playlist to 2 charts at CRW, the biggest Christian Radio Magazine.  It is awesome to be a part of helping new artists build their careers by playing their music and helping them get to number 1 on the charts.
  3. Be  on an FM station. CHECK! I have worked behind the scenes at this station which was fun, but I have been on Renegade Radio for a couple of months and have absolutely loved it!
  4.  Be on the air in prime time. CHECK! Starting this week, I will be on the air an hour earlier, starting at 5:00 Pacific time.  This is going to be awesome!  I get to speak to the weather profit about about the weekend weather.  I promise not to do the cheesy 5:00 whistle and play this song.
So, what do I do now that I have reached another radio goal?

  •  I give thanks to God for giving me these gifts and remember how it was less than 2 years ago that I was hardly able to have a decent speaking voice that is now stronger than ever.
  • Continue to  do my best to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit as far as choosing playlists and what I say between songs
  • Continue to try and show other stations that Cross Driven Radio would be a great addition to their lineup
Maybe, I can take it one step further like  Wolfman Jack did…..  most likely not, because like Howard Stern says, I have the perfect face for radio…  Yes, I’m goofy, but its 5:00 am and I can’t sleep…
