Time to blog..
You may have noticed that I have slowed down with the blog activity lately. There are a couple of reasons for that. I have had this nasty cold /virus for almost a month now that has taken away most of my voice. I’ve been on antibiotics and now I’m on a steroid but nothing seems to really work.
I also have recently started reading this book about blogging and they recommend that you should not blog from work, especially on a work computer because there have been cases where people have been fired for blogging on their personal blogs during working hours, but using a work computer. Makes sense to me.. I also noticed that in our company handbook that we can’t have blogs that are conflicts of interest. I don’t agree with that but I will follow the rules.
That leaves me with an interesting predicament. You see, I used to do most of my blog posts on my lunch hour, or at least start them then. Now that I am in the new building at work, there is not a wifi connection that I can use to do my blogging in my usual time frame. I am going to try and start using the scheduled posting within wordpress and see how that works. regardless, I’m going to start doing more on this blog and my personal blog. When do you blog?

There are several choices that are afforded to bloggers as far as platforms for designing your website/blog. My choice is WordPress. If I had mad pumpkin carving skills, I might do something like this to show mad props to my fave.

I QUIT!!!
Ever since I had that database crash, regular viewers of this blog have noticed that I have changed themes and looks and color combinations many many times. I had even thought about going to other blogging platforms, and ultimately going to a static website with no blogging capacity at all. ACK!!
I have played with, toyed, tweaked, tinkered, tested, called tech support. (almost went on life support) and after that journey, I have come to a conclusion that I know we will all be happy with. I QUIT!
- I QUIT searching for the perfect layout
- I QUIT changing the color combinations
- I QUIT worrying about my Google Analytics and what they say (although it is interesting to see where you read this blog from)
- I QUIT worrying about how to get more people to stop by and visit this blog
- I QUIT saying I QUIT
Its a Good Friday
It is a good Friday indeed. After upgrading to a new version of wordpress, I was no longer able to create a post like this on my lunch hour, which is when I write, or at least start most of my posts. The kind folks at wordpress came out with a patch upgrade and with the automatic upgrade program I was back at it in 5 minutes. How sweet is that?!?
