The 30 Blog Challenge: Day 1

I was searching the web for something a couple of weeks ago and saw the graphic on the left and I found it very interesting.

When I first started this site a couple of years ago I thought that I would be able to use the site to promote the radio show and to get involved with the blogging community. The ad reminded me that the whole concept of Cross Driven Radio is to reach out and connect with people across different media avenues, radio, web, blog, and whatever other methods become available. I was a pretty active blogger for a while, until something broke my routine.

Being an adult with ADHD, I have become famous for starting something and not finishing it. I was surprised that I continued with the radio show for over 5 years without quitting, although there were certainly times that I felt like it.

Now that the radio show is over and I am transitioning into podcasting 5 days per week starting in September, I want to get back to where I was with blogging to supplement the content on the site, and make it a site where people can come and listen to and chat about great independent artists, the music field, and whatever else comes up. I know it won't happen by itself , so it all starts with this challenge.

This challenge is great because it is a great way to:

Build Community among bloggers
Establish a consistent blogging rhythm
Gain confidence that I can actually do this

I'm not totally sure what all of the topics are going to be yet, but I know it is going to be a fun learning experience, so please check in and see what's going on!
